I was an assessor with the City of Calgary for 30 years in which time I placed values on residential, multi-family and commercial properties. I have worked in all three approaches to value. I was a member of the Municipal Government Board for 3 years. I hold certificates in Local Government Studies and Real Property Assessment.
Bachelor of Administration from the University of Regina, Bachelor of Government Studies from Athabasca University, Certificate in Municipal Assessment from University of Alberta (AMAA), Certificate in Building Cost Estimating from Wascana Institute of Applied Arts and Science. Seven years with the City of Regina Assessment department, fifteen years with The City of Calgary Assessment department and over ten years experience working as an assessment consultant for Derbyshire Partners and the Altus Group. Experienced in building renovation and land development.
Arlene has been a member of the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society since 1994, and an active member of the Law Society of Alberta since 2006. She acted as Arbitrator for the Canadian motor vehicle arbitration Plan since 1994 and became the national arbitration specialist in 2013. She obtained her chartered arbitrator status from the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada in 2012. She has acted and acts as presiding officer and panel member for a number of administrative tribunals at the municipal and provincial level. Arlene provides training in arbitration with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Alberta.
Jay holds the AACI (commercial appraiser) designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Past education includes BComm. Accounting Major from the University of Ottawa (2005) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation from UBC (2010). Jay is currently a senior partner at Sage Appraisals.
Bachelor of Science in Biology and Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Calgary. Previously served on the Extrajudicial Sanctions Program Panel, the City of Calgary’s Licence and Community Standards Appeal Board and Assessment Review Board, and the Government of Alberta’s Ministry of Community and Social Services Appeal Panel and the Alberta Utility Commission.
A native Calgarian. Retired Accredited Assessor, Appraiser with 40 years experience in the assessment field with The City of Calgary Assessment Department and The City of Airdrie Assessment Department respectfully.
Licensed as an Associate in Vancouver in 1987, an Associate in Calgary in 1995 and a Broker in 2005. Owner/Broker of Coldwell Banker Complete Real Estate. Formerly the Director of Training for NRS Block Bros Realty and Consumer Media Spokesperson for Coldwell Banker Canada.
Inderjot (JT) Dhoot is a native Calgarian and Founder and Principal of Omnis Valuations & Advisory Ltd., an independent consulting firm specializing in the valuation of tangible and intangible assets. Designated as an Accredited Appraiser (AACI) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), Mr. Dhoot has also completed training in governance, alternative dispute resolution and administrative justice through the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), ADR Institute of Canada and the Foundation of Administrative Justice (FOAJ), respectively. In addition to his experience in real estate development, commercial property appraisals across all asset classes, and private equity, Mr. Dhoot has served on multiple boards and committees of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations across Canada. Recognized as an expert witness in valuations and the quantification of economic losses, Mr. Dhoot has authored course material on real estate valuation for the University of British Columbia and served as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary.
Holds LL.M. (Taxation) and JD degrees from New York University School of Law and is an attorney (inactive) registered with the New York State Bar. She also holds a BA from Pomona College in California and a certificate in third party mediation from the University of Calgary/Justice Institute of BC. Ms. Evren has held executive finance positions in the energy, technology, and pharmaceutical industries, serves on corporate and civic boards, and volunteers as a child court accompaniment advocate and mediator.

Retired member of the Law Society of Alberta. Experience in many fields including Wills and Estates, real estate, and civil litigation.
Lawyer with experience in litigation and administrative law matters following practice with national law firms in Calgary, AB and Vancouver, BC. Ms. Grace received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta and her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa. She has been a member of the Law Society of Alberta since 2004 and is a former member of the Law Society of British Columbia (1995-2006).

Commenced his career as a surveyor. Since 1978 has held various positions in the property assessment field in various locations. Retired as a senior assessor with the City of Calgary June 2007.

Lauren has a B.A (Economics) and B.Sc. Agriculture (Economics) from the University of Saskatchewan. M.Ed. from the University of Calgary. AACI (retired). 30+ years experience in appraisal, assessment, agricultural finance, and post-secondary administration and instruction.
Resident of Calgary since 1966 currently employed as a licensed Realtor with The Real Estate Company Ltd. working primarily in the residential field in the Calgary Area. Past experience has included management in: Resort planning, development, and construction; New Home sales and construction; Golf Course design and construction; Residential, Industrial, & Commercial Land Development; Municipal Planning including Long Range Plans, Pocket Developments, and Recreational Facility Development Plans . BSc in Architecture and Construction – 1973.
Retired as a member of the Force in 1996. Upon leaving the RCMP, George completed his MBA and engaged as a senior executive in wireless companies. George also founded and owned an “At Risk Youth” facility to help young people integrate into the fabric of Canadian society. More recently, George is the founder and owner of two bio-pharmaceutical companies in Alberta and BC respectively. George has also acted as a Director for the Kelowna Regional District Planning Advisory Board until 2017. George currently sit as a Director for the Calgary RCMP Veterans Association Board.
Brian was an Appeals Commissioner for the Alberta Appeals Commission for Workers' Compensation from May, 2003 until the end of April, 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and FCMA. Prior to working with the Appeals Commission, Brian worked in various capacities with The City of Calgary including City Treasurer and Director of Finance. He has served on various Boards, including the Calgary Housing Company, The Calgary Parking Authority and the Calgary Booster Club. As a professional accountant he has also served as Chairman for the Calgary Chapter of the Society of Management Accountants and participated in the Society's discipline and professional conduct hearing process.

Extensive experience in litigation, insolvency law, commercial law, real estate law, condominium law, administrative law and in property valuation, dispute resolution and mediation. Member of the Calgary Assessment Review Board 2013-2019. Previously a member and President of condominium and other not-for-profit Boards. Long-time resident of the City of Calgary.

Former licensed Realtor for 15 years. Educated at McGill University, BCIT (Building Technology) with Business Administration and various technology courses from other institutes.
Gerry is a former licensed Realtor for 15 years (mostly residential). Over 15 years of commercial real estate transactional experience, having acquired, disposed and financed over $2B worth of commercial real estate (all asset classes except Hotels). Tax assessment appeals experience working as an assessment consultant. Spent time as the President of the Mortgage and Loans Association of Alberta.
Rick McKee, a native Calgarian, is an alumnus of both the University of Victoria and the University of Calgary. Rick has practiced law in Calgary since 1985. A litigator throughout his career he has in addition to private practice served in leadership positions in such organizations as the Alberta Energy & Utilities Board and ENMAX Corporation. Rick continues to actively practice law, currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel for Inhaus Legal LLP. In addition to the practice of law he has served as a part time Instructor at SAIT. During his career Rick has extensive experience before and with administrative tribunals and has appeared at all levels of Court including the Supreme Court of Canada.
